Supervision
I am practical and give actionable feedback with a warm and direct communication style, and value humor as a component of relationships.
I am credentialed to provide licensure supervision for LPC and LMFT associates in the state of Oregon and am on the OBLPCT Supervisor Registry as well as an AAMFT-Approved Supervisor. I have been lucky enough to have wonderful supervisors and colleagues during my career and highly value bringing quality support and supervision to others in the field.
This is what I offer:
A collaborative and developmental perspective working with the therapist in a style that matches their skill level and experience. Therapists earlier in their career may need more direction and guidance, while therapists close to being licensed may need more support in trusting themselves and knowing when and how to consult on a difficult issue.
I encourage self-assessment and collaborative evaluation regularly, as well as useful discussion and completion of formal evaluations related to licensure and graduate program requirements.
An understanding of the balance needed between providing services to others and meeting our own needs and priorities to keep ourselves grounded and healthy. I have experienced firsthand the journey back from clinician burnout.
Understanding and acknowledging systems of oppression and the history of the mental health and managed care system, while having the knowledge and experience to guide you through meeting necessary requirements in a way that feels authentic.
Incorporating live observation and audio or video tapes when possible, as well as case presentation and document review as part of the supervisory process. I will incorporate conversations about the self of the therapist and how your own experiences and perspective show up in your clinical work
Rates for Clinical Supervision
We will make a plan to achieve licensure or skill building goals, and will meet at mutually agreed upon frequency.
Individual Supervision (2-3 hrs/month) 60 mins $125
Group Supervision (1x/month) 90 mins $75
*Available when 3 or more associates are interested in meeting as a group
